Heat Alarm. These type of alarms are normally installed in locations where there is a high risk of false alarm caused by routine use, e.g. Kitchen, Garage and Boiler Rooms. These locations are often overlooked when in fact they are the riskiest places for fires to start.
Heat Alarms should always be used in conjunction with Smoke Alarms, they will not provide adequate protection on their own. Heat Alarms operate at a fixed temperature (57 degrees C) and will not react at all to smoke alone.
As a minimum you should install a Heat Alarm in your Kitchen and / or Utility Room.
